At Willow Ridge Equestrian, we believe riding is about so much more than just being in the saddle. We focus on building confidence, creating a strong partnership between horse and rider, and teaching the skills needed to be safe around horses both on the ground and under saddle.
Every lesson starts with learning the basics of horse care, grooming, handling, and stable safety. By understanding how horses think and communicate, our riders build confidence and respect that carries through into every ride.
Whether you're stepping into the barn for the very first time or looking to improve your riding skills, our supportive and encouraging environment helps riders of all ages learn at their own pace while having fun along the way.
Meet the Coach
My passion for horses began at the age of four and has grown into a lifelong career dedicated to riding, training, and teaching. As a young rider, I successfully competed throughout the Trillium Circuit, gaining valuable experience in the show ring and developing a strong foundation in horsemanship.
As my riding career progressed, I expanded into the sport of eventing, where I completed an apprenticeship under two-time Olympic rider Garry Roque. During this time, I developed a solid foundation in horse training, rider development, and coaching techniques that continue to influence my teaching today.
Since then, I have continued to grow as both a coach and farm owner, dedicating myself to helping riders achieve their goals while building confidence, knowledge, and strong partnerships with their horses. I believe that riding is about much more than what happens in the saddle—it's about developing patience, responsibility, communication, and a true understanding of the horse.
I especially enjoy teaching children and watching them progress from their very first lessons into confident, capable riders. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing students overcome challenges, achieve milestones, and develop a lifelong love of horses.
At Willow Ridge Equestrian, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment where riders of all ages and abilities can grow, learn, and enjoy every step of their equestrian journey.
